Got To Love IT

I just realize that WordPress has a different set of theme for viewing its hosted blogs on iPad. Very cool indeed. Very interactive like and you’ve just got to love it. ‘Swipe me’ it says! I guess the touch technology has now changed to swipe technology, thanks to super brilliant tech by Apple! The downside is, even though most of it’s useful and powerful apps are cheap compared to Mac softwares, you’ve still got to pay for them. But for Android, you can get them for free. But I guess I haven’t browse the AppStore enough, since there are billions of apps around for free.

Another cool trick that I have discovered is how to print screen your iPad (or capture your screen cap). Just follow these simples steps and no need to download or purchase another app :

1. Open up the page or app that you like to print it’s screen
2. Press and hold the Home button
3. Press the power button while holding the Home button

Wallah! you just print your iPad screen. Go to your Photo app and find your saved image of iPad screen there. How awesome is that?

These are a couple of images that I just did it myself

A Must Read

A Doctor in the House: The Memoirs of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad

I finally got a copy of it. Thanks to my sister who bought it first and let me read a few chapters of it.

Just reading a few chapters you can already understand of why he made such stern actions and decisions during his premiership. Although some say that he’s an ultra Malay, to me he was just fulfilling his duty as the Prime Minister for all. To ensure all Malaysians get the opportunities accordingly in this blessed country.

As a father, I could learn so much from this book. How to nurture my kids and what’s the best in upbringing them.

Besides that, it could be a great management bible as well. He also touches on how to make the best out of your subordinates.

The best part is, the real politics of Malaysia. As I always say to my friends, Malaysia is very unique. The real political situation in Malaysia is very delicate. Blessed with multiracial and religions, more than whisper could ruin everything that we have now. Those were challenges that he had to face, and now the situation is more complicated than ever.

I thank him for things that he had tried his best to achieve for us. He had made ready for us a base to become greater. All we have to now is to unite, and make the best for Malaysia and our children.

I’m Glad I Live in Malaysia

Recent development in Kerdau and Merlimau for me is very frustrating. From what I heard, a few leaders were urging the people to adopt the ‘way of the street’ as what were in Egypt and Tunisia. They keep saying that SPR is not transparent and corupt. Serving only for the government of the day. Which is not as far as I’m concerned.

MAFREL, an NGO who claimed that it’s neutral, was granted by SPR to observe the campaign and polling day during a few of past by-elections. But this neutral body was only observing and protesting BN campaign. If you were there at Manek Urai, Bukit Gantang, Batang Ai, Bukit Selambau and a lot more, you only saw MAFREL officials at BN posts, and checking out every  BN campaign. None were seen at any either PAS, PKR or DAP posts. Now I know what neutral means.

SPR knew this yet still gave permission to such body to observe our democracy practice. So, all false and malicious allegations towards SPR would be dismissed. SPR thought MAFREL could improve our election practices but nothing constructive suggestions were put forward by MAFREL. At the end of the day, MAFREL has been dropped out from our election scenes.

Anyhow, Hosni Mubarak is no more there. But the street jokers are still there. Look what is happening in Tunisia, new government has been installed yet the rioters are everywhere. Democracy does not belong on the streets. It’s an idea of sharing power with every single living citizen of a state. Democracy means equitible opportunity for the citizens so all can live without fear of being threaten by other living soul physically or mentally. All can earn a living without prejudice.

I believe we have all that in Malaysia. Tiny little bit of bad experience is nothing compared to even developed countries such the US, UK or France. Racism is still a lot in those countries. Most of those speakers who keep promoting the ideal democracy of the US and the UK have never even been to those countries. If they were there, they were only visiting not living the real Americans way of life. I was there. A few of my friends were too. Yes, they have cheap jeans and great burgers but walking alone at night fearing being mugged of shot in the head is not the unusual. Ghetthos or slums are always referred to the blacks community homes. These are what democracy mean to those capitalists. Equal opportunity for all. I don’t think God given spectacular brain and heart are just for yourself. It’s about helping each other out.

Think again. Why we are so anxious to deteriorate our peace and harmony Malaysia. Can’t everyone just hold hands and develop our beloved Malaysia so our young ones can continue live peacefully. You know what, Malaysia is the best thing that ever happen to me. All the good things happen here.

Yeop Kembali

Perak has continued their excellent performance by defeating Pahang 2-0 at away turf. What a come back!

Last year nobody wanted to go to Ipoh Stadium but I bet this year the stadium will be full house again. Thanks to Shafiq Jamal and Akmal Rizal goals, Perak bagged 3 points to stay on trailing Kelantan, the board leader, after sharing the point (11 pts) only separated by goal difference.

The new PAFA President who replaced Nizar Jamaluddin and new head coach really has changed the fate of Perak Football Team. I guess Nizar is better focusing his career as a politician as he is a lousy soccer management official. We are better off without him.

To Perak team, I’m looking forward to the Malaysia Cup final this season and hopefully we will deny another Kelantan’s championship ring this year. All hopes on you Yeop!

Jangan Sampai Ditipu

Sebijik! Tapi cuba teka harganya, RM89! Menakjubkan hehe

Moral of the story :
Berhati-hati bila membeli barangan IT. Saya hampir kena belasah sebab tak jadi beli barang. So where’s your right as a consumer?

So watch out guys! If you looking for a reasonable price for IT accessories and you’re living around Kajang, Bangi or Putrajaya there’s an IT store just outside Warta Bangi, near McDonald. Cari Komputer is the name of the store. I’ve been there quite a few times and I already log it in as one of my Favorite store.

I’m Loving it

I just got myself a new iPhone4. Jolly! So excited over it 😀 after longing for a year. Now I’m posting this post thru it with this WordPress App. Yup, it a bit tacky with this device but I guess this is among the best ways to learn how to type using a touch screen QWERT keyboard. A bit boastful isn’t it?

Anyhow, I love this playful and multipurpose device. Now I can access all my emails on the go, keep update with the world and friends while enjoying the fun FlightControl App. A lot of useful apps available on App Store. Apple boasted with 10 billion apps in the virtual store.

The only things that I miss from my old Nokia E71 are the Ctrl function and the ability to bold text. Is there any app that can do that for me? Wish someone or Apple perhaps could fix this. That would be marvelous!

There are still much more to learn how to use this little devil. Till then, Helloooooo World!

1 Month 1 Post Pt. 1

It seems blogging is not my real thingy. The last time that I wrote something was way back in November. I have so much thoughts to share with but time is never at  my side. Yup, blame it on others as if that could change anything. Well, 2011 new resolution, at least 1 month 1 post. Mark this day as this is the first post of 2011.

Anyway, let’s play catch up.

Congratulation to Harimau Malaya for superb performance in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010. The 1-5 defeat to Indonesia in the opening game did not hold the young Tigers back. They drew 0-0 to Thailand in their second game and afterwards trashed Lao 5-1.

They continued their excellent performance at Bukit Jalil by scoring 2 goals to nil against Vietnam. Sadly, I was away from KL during the match, and had to watch the game with other Malaysian fanatics at the airport. Allah the Most Knowing had arranged everything for me. My flight was delayed that evening, giving me the opportunity to watch the match till the 85th minute. The 2 phat goals by Safee Sali gave the young Malaysians some space to play in the second leg at Hanoi. The young Tigers sent Vietnam home after holding the Vietnamese 0-0 at their own ground. Malaysia did look  a bit edgy in that match but thanks to the fantastic line of defense, we were finally living up the dream – winning the Cup for the first time. The closest that we got was in 1996 when Malaysia lost to Thailand 0-1 in the first edition of AFF Cup (was known as Tiger Cup). Zainal Abidin Hassan was the MVP for that edition.

The first leg of the finals was at Bukit Jalil. I was there, witnessing  the glorious moment of our football history of the decade. It was world class play by Norshahrul Idlan Talaha to create the opening goal. And it’s one of my favorite plays. The second goal was crucial in order to make sure Malaysia had bagged enough goals before going to Gelora Bung Karno. Again Norshahrul was the man of the hour who set the ball though he initially shot the ball but it hit Indonesian defender and bounced back to make way for Ashari Samsudin to sent it home. The third goal had sealed the deal and sent the Indonesians home under pressure. Accurate lob by Mahalli Jasuli to assist Safee to head in the third goal passed through Markus Harison. That was  a world class header. Everyone at the stadium (except for who wore red) was jubilant. They said that this was IT. Finally, a  new Malayan Tiger was born.

The Garuda was under fire, even called “Timnas Ayam Sayur” by local media, but the fans were still in high spirit. The Indonesian police had tighten up the security to ensure the safety of the Malaysian footballers. Yup, it was also a matter of diplomatic and credibility of the country as well. The Tigers were brought to the stadium in Baracudas, amour vehicles, as precaution steps to play in the final second leg at Gelora Bung Karno.

Even though the Indonesians launched a few strikes early of the game, the Young Tigers were solid. And out of thin air, a counter strike was launched. Safee was set with a brilliant through ball and he sent it home. After the whole heart pumping 90 minutes, Malaysia marked a new history, winning the AFF Cup for the first time. Congratulation Malayan Tiger! You made all of us proud! Safee brought home another trophy, top scorer of the championship.

Undefeated Manchester United

Tonight Man Utd will play Tottenham Hotspur. Until now the Red Devils still undefeated after 20 games. I won’t say that Man U is at top of their game. They had a few hiccups now and then but still manage to keep it up the good spirit. The last match of the 3rd round of FA Cup against Liverpool was not that convincing. Scoring  a penalty in the early minutes of the game and playing against 10 men for me is not a good result. They should have scored more. Nonetheless, a good team will still win even they are not in the mood of winning. The win on boxing day 2-0 against Sunderland will become the starting point of a promising campaign this year. 2011 will witness another treble by United – Premier League, FA Cup and Champion League. Mark my word. Glory Glory Glory United!
